Director and Partner - Nick Miles A.C.M.A.
Born in 1951 in Amersham Bucks and
educated at Royal Grammar School High Wycombe, he excelled at sport, particularly rugby, basketball and athletics.
England Schools finalist in the triple jump at the age of 17. Further education involved studying for a PE
teacher’s qualification at Borough Road College, before deciding that teaching was not the career that he wanted.
Joined Esso Petroleum Co. in 1971, following a service station management training programme, before taking on his
first service station in 1974 in Southall. Ran several other garages in the outer London area before
moving into a garage partnership and re-locating to Southampton in 1983. After 10 years in partnership and 20 years
of motor trade experience, decided that he wanted a change of direction and commenced re-training in accountancy,
qualifying as a C.I.M.A. accountant in 1997. Sole tradership commenced supplying a network of clients built up on
recommendation and providing a wide base of accounting services, all focussed towards assisting the small business
owner. Developed the business to the incorporated version and moved from offices in Hythe to the new location in
Fawley Business Centre in November 2008.
Interests: powerlifting, snooker. World record holder in the World Drug
Free Powerlifting Federation’s standings for Masters 3 age group. Plays snooker for enjoyment in the local league
and sponsors a local lady (Suzie Opacic, ranked No 7) in the Ladies World Snooker Association.
Mike
Boote F.C.M.A.
Mike is our "out of
office" itinerant accountant. He spends the bulk of his time on-site with clients, attending to their operational
accounting requirements. Mike has a wealth of experience in dealing with businesses, having been finance director
of Duphar Pharmaceuticals for many years, overseeing a multi-million pound business. His expertise in management of
business finance proves a great benefit to our clients time and again.
Jody Miles
Bsc.Econ
The “youngster” in
the company. Born 1985 and educated at Hardley, going on to Aberwystwyth University and obtaining a degree in
Business Studies, Jody is now in his third year of C.I.M.A. qualifying exams and gaining experience of the
accounting practice life.
Interests: voluntary member of the R.N.L.I. Calshot Lifeboat crew,
snooker.
