Payment Protection Insurance. Banks forced to compensate

A High Court ruling in the United Kingdom on payment protection insurance means millions of people who took out policies could be entitled to compensation.

The insurance is supposed to cover loan and credit card repayments for those who become too sick to work, or lose their jobs.

But many policies were sold to people who didn't need them, or who were ineligible to claim.

Kara is pleased to say that it always advised it's clients against taking out such policies and in some cases advised that their clients were not actually covered by the schemes being offered.
